The billionaire Mulvaney family, piano prodigy Juniper Cole and her brother Quinn, paranormal show hosts Cryer and Fudge, and a few others make up the core of the series. Written like a book version of your favorite tv series (think: supernatural soap opera like American Horror Story) each character’s story moves forward with most every episode. It may appear that the characters are entirely unrelated and yet episode by episode, the connections will become clearer. Like being an inch away from a spider web, with each book, the web will move further and further away revealing the full story of every character and most importantly, the stunning conclusion for Onyx Webb herself.

A new character is introduced in book six. His quirky, oddball behavior fits in perfectly with the rest of the characters. I like that the authors researched a documented case on his type of ailment, and included it in the dedication. This helped to validate the unusualness of his condition.As the timelines are brought closer to the present, and more connections click, I cant help but feel sorry for the characters, for the things they have gone through, and how unfair life has been for them. AsSerial storyInteresting story written as in serial format. The story follows multiple timelines and people why are interwoven as well. Well worth the read
The past and the present are finally being drawn closer together, and all the various mysteries within the Onyx Webb series are reaching a crescendo. While Onyx is trying to "live" out her days in relative peace inside her lighthouse, fate has other plans. Plans which threaten her very solitary and reclusive existence. This whole series is awesome. Somehow I have missed book 7. And just heard that book 8 is coming out. This is a book you can't put down. I don't guess what's going to happen next because there is always a twist! Spent a cold winter day reading this book in front of a fire. It's been a long time since a book has grabbed me like this!
So, this is still a clever soap opera. Bumping it up a star over last installment for the introduction of the autistic wunderkind, Newt Drystad.Totally unbelievable - totally fun.
Still absolutely loving this series and still finding it difficult to review because I'm afraid I'll give something away.It's a strange feeling with every book I read part of me hopes it's going to be the last because I desperately want to know what happens, how everything connects and how it all ends up but yet I feel such relief when I know there's more to come. I also tell myself to read slowly to enjoy the book but I can't I read as quickly as possible because I need to know where this is
