I was gonna rate this 3 stars but I took one off because Mason, the main male character "groaned" when he ate a chicken leg...I always thought I enjoyed historical fiction more than contemporary fiction but now I'm positive that is the case! There is just something about a time when you didn't kiss on your first date or sometimes even until you were engaged that I really enjoy. I'm sure it's the anticipation and the romantic tension that I missed in this book. The story was engaging and the relationship between the sisters was complex but I felt the romance was a bit lacking. All in all, it was an enjoyable read but
Loved the book. Makes me love my home state even more!! It's a great story. I love how the relationship with the sister's developes over time. The fact that both sisters have issues to go through with the loss of their mother, and both loving the same man only shows how strong of a bond they have. Instead of it tearing them apart, it brings them closer together. Which is something you rarely see.

Your sister plans a wonderful make over including a blind date with a dream boat. Trudie wants to refuse Lane, but Lane never takes no for an answer. So Trudie falls in with Lane's plans, and meets Mason Wimberley, a wonderful man, that Trudie can feel herself falling for FAST!Of course that was until her sister Lane decided she is in love
I love this book because it most relates to my sister and I. although the problems in this book arent true between me and my sister, i can easily understand the character's point of view. The unselfish desire to help your sister no matter what, even to sacrifice your own chance at true love.
Love Finds You in Humble Texas by Anita HigmanI always enjoy reading of of these books and have read this author before so it is a match for me...Trudie is approaching thirty so her sister gives her a makeover and a blind date to help as only sisters can...Lane was the beauty in the family and Trudie felt she would always be second best. It is odd to say the least, to find that Mason finds her attractive and wants to be with her- instead of Lane. This is a wonderful story where we will see the
The author is a member of my church. It's a page turner. I really wanted to know what would happen next, and I was interested in the characters.
