Interpretation In Pursuance Of Books Crimson & Steam (Crimson City #8)
I read this book last night in one long 3-3 1/2 hour reading session. I was so happy to go back to the Crimson City world that Liz created for us oh so many years back now. The familiar characters of The Vampire House of Dumont and the Mechs and the Weres and all the interplay made for a very easy reading experience once again. I hope at some point in the future due to fans interest Liz gets to revisit this particular series again but if not it was a good ending as it stands. I do not do spoilers so will not give particulars, if you have not read the series what are you waiting for? The books are as follows and can be read as stand alones in my opinion but you would miss out on lots of inside information into the characters from book to book if you do so:Crimson City #1 by Liz Maverick (out 2005 MMPB)
A Taste of Crimson (Crimson City #2) by Marjorie M. Liu (out 2005 MMPB)
Through a Crimson Veil (Crimson City, #3) by Patti O'Shea (out 2005 MMPB)
A Darker Crimson (Crimson City #4) by Carolyn Jewel (out 2005 MMPB)
Seduced by Crimson (Crimson City, #5) by Jade Lee (out 2006 MMPB)
Crimson Rogue (Crimson City, #6) by Liz Maverick (out2006 MMPB)
Shards of Crimson (Crimson City, #7) by Liz Maverick, Patti O'Shea, Carolyn Jewel, Jade Lee (out 2007 MMPB)
Crimson&Steam #8 By Liz Maverick (out 2009 MMPB)

Audiobook.Oh my gosh, the humiliation. Jill stands in front of Marius and starts taking off her clothes, crying and begging him to love her. My gosh, I want to slap the girl and tell her to have some pride! If he doesn't want you after all you've done already, this probably won't work and it doesn't. I don't care how much Marius is a tortured man unable to be with the woman he loves, he's a freaking dick! And poor Tatiana - that's all I'm going to say about her. The plot was a little weak to meThis wasn't a book about discovering love. This was about two people already deep in love trying to figure life, responsibility and honor. The love runs so deep between these two and what makes there separation worse is the fact that they know it. The hero willingly marries another for the sake of peace when he burns for the heroine in secret. There were so many problems that faced the main characters that I began to doubt the possibility of everything working out in the end. But the author tied
Crimson & Steam takes place in an alternate futuristic place called Crimson City where vampires, werewolves, and humans all live together. This main storyline deals with Marius Dumont, the leader of the Vampire Assembly who, along with the three other leaders of the Crimsons Citys vampire world must try and keep the peace between the werewolves and humans. This also is a major problem for the vampire community because the werewolves dont get along with them either. In order to keep the

Well this is the end of the series. Good one. and would read it again. This was my second reading.
This was unique. The story gives you the background on how it all started (if you follow the series) with flashbacks (this is where the steam(punk) comes in.) Good read.
Crimson & Steam is the story of Jillian Cooper and Marius Dumont, characters from the Crimson City series. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I thought there would be more of an element of steampunk. The story contained flashback episodes of Victorian times, when steam powered inventions were all the rage and the story tied into a life or death puzzle Jill and Marius had to solve, but I didn't see much that was really steampunk related. The ending tied everything together satisfactorily,
After the long wait to see more of Jill and Marius after Shards of Crimson, I was really anticipating Crimson & Steam. But the story here is not the one that I would have wished for the pair.Human reporter Jill and vampire clan head Marius have had a deep connection that Marius has denied out of duty to his vampire race, and now in order to secure peace between the vamps and the werewolves, Marius, convinced of his noble purpose, deals Jill the ultimate rejection by committing himself to a
