Twenty-seven-year-old Kristi Bentz is lucky to be alive. Not many people her age have nearly died twice at the hands of a serial killer, and lived to tell about it. Her dad, New Orleans detective, Rick Bentz, wants Kristi to stay in New Orleans and out of danger. But if anything, Kristi's experiences have made her even more fascinated by the mind of the serial killer. She hasn't given up her dream of being a true-crime writer--of exploring the darkest recesses of evil--and now she just may get her chance.

Article Epithetical Books Lost Souls (New Orleans #5)
Kristi Benz has gone back to school at All- Saints College in Louisiana, her dream is to be a journalist and suspenseful stories captivate her emotionally. Shes been on the wrong side of evils hand in the past and is very wary of strange happenings. Being a police officers daughter shes seen and heard some of the worse situations known to exist. When girls begin to disappear around campus, she starts believing that something more sinister is the cause. A cult maybe, but the biggest scare is all

Kristi Bentz has escaped death twice already and she is only 27, but she cannot seem to stay away from danger. it continues to find her where ever she goes. Despite the dangers that follow her around, Kristi still holds on to her dream of being a true crime writer. After three girls disappear from All Saints College, she decides to enroll and follow their steps to write a book of their disappearances. Everyone around considers the missing "lost souls" who have ran away from their problems. But

I haven't even finished this book yet but I don't think I need to. First of all, it is a psuedo-romance disguised as a suspense novel, so I feel ripped off. There is not one word in the jacket flap summary about a romantic interest for the main character, and yet there he is, taking up an enormous amount of text and obviously being the real main story. The book is almost 400 pages long, and while I managed to get through 3/4 of it, there is still very little uncovered about the mystery

I love a good mystery, and I enjoyed the book. I do think the ending went a little too fast, but I liked how all the characters were brought to life in detail. It was suspenseful and a good thriller leaving me goosebumps throughout the story. One of the best thrillers I read in 2012. I will be reading it again soon.

I am always looking for a new snack-reading author. Someone who can write a genre series with interesting characters and snappy writing and perhaps a clever plot line. I had never read anything by Lisa Jackson, although my library has a whole shelf of her NY Times bestsellers. I picked this one at random, because the blurb--Four girls go missing from All Souls College in Baton Rouge!--tempted me. But the book is disappointing on many levels, primarily the writing. Doesn't Lisa Jackson have an

Audio Book #4 of 2009I'd say this was more thriller than romance as Kristi Bentz and her old boyfriend - now her professor - search for the reasons why four women went missing from Kristi's small college campus. The main problem I had with this book is... where exactly does Kristi get off investigating the disappearance of these woman? She's in no way involved, not a member of any police agency (although her father/boyfriend Jay are), not a private eye, not a government agent. Do regular people

Lisa Jackson, what is happening with you? Youve made me sad, very sad. I have been a fan of this series, and another of hers too, from the first book. The last book in this series disappointed me but it still had a few strong points. This book not only was disappointing, there were no strong points. Every sentence of this book reminded me of every other book in the series so far. And Kristi just irritated the living hell out of me. However, I am getting ahead of myself.Lets address Kristi first.
