At long last, Rachel's powers have arrived and she's a bona fide get-your-broom-ready witch! And it's happened just in time. No Manhattan for her this summer—she's spending her vacation at Camp Wood Lake.

But she's having some serious issues:

Mosquitoes in the Adirondacks are incredibly thirsty.

Her stepmom keeps sending embarrassing feminine hygiene care packages.

She accidentally zapped away all her clothes.

And there's a backstabber in her cabin intent on making life miserable.

Good thing Rachel's a witch.

Weigh Up Of Books Spells & Sleeping Bags (Magic in Manhattan #3)
Rachel and her sister, Mir, will be spending their summer at Camp Wood Lake. Everything sails peacefully in the beginning, Rachel makes new friends, gets into a relationship with Raf and is having the best time of her life. That is until little by little, obstacles starts flying her way-literally. Liana, Rachel's cousin, is out to get her. She gets all of Rachel's previous friends to back-stab her, steals her boyfriend and sister away from her Liana also blackmails Rachel, forcing them to switch

This series is just so cute.

These books just keep getting better and better. I really love the character of Rachel, perhaps because I can relate to her so much. Not that I am a witch or have a younger sister or divorced parents, but her struggle to find her place amognst other teenagers, dealing with the trials of high school (and in this book, camp) and attempting to come out the other side somewhat unscathed and with some friends. Having to deal with people out to get you is a fact of life but it may be the most vicious

The story dragged along without much interesting happening. What did happen was predictable. I got through the book but it bored me. Story about teenage witches at summer camp. Had all the usual summer camp antics mixed with some spells gone wrong. It had one very angry resentful girl with a chip on her shoulder, one having boy trouble while trying out her new witch skills and one keeping her witch skills hidden.

So far, the best of the series. One more to go.

I think 3.5.... this series is growing on me quite a bit.
