The Age of Odin (Pantheon #3)
Loved it! I thought I had this marked as read.
Instagram || Twitter || Facebook || Amazon || PinterestTHE AGE OF ODIN falls into a genre of books that I like to call "lad lit," AKA, "by dudes, for dudes." It's basically The Hurt Locker with Norse mythology thrown in for shits and gigs, set among the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic icy hell, and honestly, that concept works better than it should. I picked up the first book in the series many years ago, with the same sense of disbelief. Greek gods using technology to conquer mankind? But

Don't read this trash.
This book has the finesse of both Percy Jackson and Red Rising all wrapped up in a contemporary yet classic Nordic setting
Gave up at 85% because I couldn't stand any more fight scenes. That's just me. I'm sure other people would love it! :D
I wanted to like this book. Ive got an avid interest in Norse mythology, I enjoy fantasy and military fiction. I havent read any of the authors other works and chose this one specifically because I thought itd be right up my alley - the concept sounded like itd make for a good story.Unfortunately, all that said, it didnt deliver. Ill be honest and admit I didnt even finish it - bear this in mind when reading the following review. The biggest problem is the protagonist - hes a Gary Stu. Sometimes
