This time, Alice flies to Venice where an 800 hundred year old witch's skeleton surrounded with seventeen glass slippers was found by archeologists in the city that invented the art of glassblowing. When Alice and Loki follow the lead, they find one of the fairy tale characters she had been searching for. It's a famous girl character that you know by name, but never really knew what actually happened to her.

Review originally featured on Bookluvrs HavenThis review is going to be short. My frustration from the first novella that I read is at an even higher level with this installment. Either my newly edited version didn't take, or the edit still needs some major work. Grammatical and spelling errors gallore. It's distracting and infuriating. It ruined the story for me. Once again, the cover is stunning. Probably the best part of this book. The references to 'Twilight' were lame. My eyeballs are tiredThis was an interesting retelling of the origins of Cinderella, involving Alice Grimm making sure that Cinderella's birth actually does happen.------------- My favorite character was Loki. Most girls that read this will hate Loki for the same reasons that I loved him so much.... He likes to crack jokes. He likes to annoy Alice. He likes to come on to Alice at every opportunity. And, he likes to keep saying sexual stuff. And, that is what makes me absolutely love him. Totally book boyfriend
This is the second prequel in The Grimm Diaries series and in all honesty, despite certain problems I did enjoy this more than the first. Perhaps if I am to adequately review this I should list these problems first. Too many typos and missing words, and sentences that didn't quite make sense. This book really needs editing.The prologue was rather interesting and relatively well written, the story itself was not.I cannot say that is was horribly bad, if I ignore the editing problems, but it wasn't a fun read either.

This was freaking awesome! Like Snow White, Blood Red was pretty great and this was is right up there in the ranks. Cameron Jace is seriously talented and has such a wicked imagination.
