Thor is a complex character in that he is man, panther and vampire which makes him a hybrid. He has been having dreams and nightmares lately. He thinks he has been broken because he hasn't jumped to his master's every command. Emi can see, hear and talk with the dead among other gifts that she has acquired from her family not to mention the images she receives should she touch
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.Thor is going crazy...or at least he thinks he is. He is remember a life that he isn't sure is his. He is doing an okay job of hiding the breaks until he meets Emi. Emi sees ghosts and when she meets Thor she knows two things...1. his name is Lance and 2. the ghost say to keep him close. I love that a man we barely know but thought was dead has returned. Ms. Roth gave us glimpses of him in prior books but now she is ready to let us know what happened. I

I've often said one of the things I love the most about MMR's books are the camaraderie between those über Alpha males, I like the laugh out loud comments and comebacks. In this one sadly it came across a little juvenile, I'm not sure where it struck a wrong chord with me but it just did. I don't like how frat boyish the humor was and I thought considering the situation it took away from the romance, I was generally annoyed and that's upsetting because I was really looking forward to Lance's
3.5 ⭐⭐⭐✨ Lance/Thor and Emi Finally after a long wait we get to have a story about Lance... It was quite awhile before Lance got his story and its worth the wait.. I just hoped he was able to defeat Pierre in this book and that Lance was able to fight w/ his team.. I miss the people in Immortal Ops... The story has so much action, humor, and romance that will get you hooked and continuously read all the books and the series.. Thumbs up Mandy M Roth 👍
