Narrative Conducive To Books Sundowners
Sundowners is a backwoods southern horror about the importance of family, the power of gossip and the nature of the artistic muse. Fifteen years ago, siblings Coil and Cassiopeia suffered an incident in the woods behind their family home. An incident that neither of them can remember in full, that nearly killed Cass and left Coil accused as her abuser, and robbed young Coil of his artistic potential yet boosted his little sister into an almost overnight sensation in the art world. Now, fifteen years later, the self-exiled Coil has been called home to deal with his world famous sister as she suffers from Sundowning; severe and violent personality shifts after the sun sets. In order to cure her, the pair of siblings must come to terms with their old demons, both figuratively and literally. An ancient and terrible horror has risen once more from the backwoods of the family home, and this time it threatens to not only tear their family apart, but also the entire world.Particularize Books Supposing Sundowners

CreepyI was somewhat distracted by occasional inconsistencies, spelling errors, and awkward dialogue. However what this book lacks in editing it makes up for in story. I found it to be original and very enjoyable.I don't know Ms. Brown, but I may have picked this book up as a freebie from one of the email notification sites. I'm telling you this because I've never heard of her before and I'm giving a five-star review. It's not a personally-motivated one. It's just a very good book. The Sundown Syndrom is a ral thing, though I doubt that the reality brings quite such dramatic changes as occur in this book. We all know what it is to see the light gong away, and it does in fact become all the more sad the
The cover alone had me wanting to read this book but when I read the synopsis I was hooked. Add to it that it has been a long time since a book has freaked me out and you have a winning combination. Coil and Cass suffered a tragic incident 15 years ago. Neither one say they remember what happened but living in a small Southern town gossip ran rapid and made Coil look like he had abused his younger sister. When he was old enough he left and never looked back. Now Cass is suffering from health and

For the record, this is not a book you should read when your hubby is not home if you want to get a good night's sleep. Wow! It has been a long time since a book has freaked me out as much as this one has. I am officially a Tonia Brown fan! I actually wish I could just put the first couple of paragraphs in my review so you could see how stinkin' easy it is too get sucked into her world. I seriously have the chills as I am writing this. What an amazing story for this time of year (Halloweenish)!
Growing up in the absolute Northern most part of Kentucky, I can still safely say I grew up in the South. Speaking as a Southerner, something Northerners need to understand is the South is inherently creepy. It is a place filled with wilderness which is always just over the hill from civilization and always seems to be ready to retake what's been stolen from it. The people are insular, gossipy, and full of secrets. Child abuse, incest, murder, substance addiction, alcoholism, and worse exist
Enjoyed the build-up but the last quarter/third of it seemed rushed. I would have like more background activity, more of the sundowning events and people's reactions. I was enjoying it very much until that rapid reveal and ending. Still an enjoyable read overall.
