This book is great, gives an insiders view of what happened that day 9/11 - in the Beamer family - very hard to read at times, sad, but Lisa Beamer is an amazing woman and mother. Todd was a real hero (among others on Flight 93). I have been to the site of the crash in Shanksville PA - was good to read the story of what happened on that plane as best we can tell.

This book relates the life of Todd Beamer. He was a successful man who had a close walk with God, and a determination to "get the job done". His wife tells their story and his impending doom on flight 93. Todd with the help of others heroically saved the White House or the Pentagon from certain doom as flight 93 had been taken over by terrorist and had plotted a course of death and destruction. "Let's roll" was the last phrase overheard by the telephone operator voiced by Todd before the plane

Finished 'Lets Roll' by Lisa Beamer on 6/3/08. The book is about a 9/11 victim (Todd Beamer)who was on Flight 93. I was expecting the book to be more of a heart breaking story of a young widow writing about her fallen 'hero' husband. The book turned out to be more about her faith and how that helped her endure her loss. She keeps her emotions contained when necessary, and displays the information in a way that the reader feels comfortable reading. As much as I wanted to enjoy this, the way the author chose to write it made it pretty painful. The mention of God in every other sentence made this terribly annoying and I'll be honest, I skipped most of this book and read the important parts which were few and far between.
