Tall, Dark, and Cajun (Cajun #2)
And if that isn't enough to make a girl turn around and head right back to her ex, Gizelle is feuding with a Cajun bad boy -Remy LeDeux, a helicopter pilot and Air Force vet whose face is scarred from battle. But the moment Remy sees Rachel getting out of a red truck, it's love at first sight for the long-time bachelor, despite all the turmoil she brings into his life, with her ideas of Feng Shui-ing his houseboat and her ex chasing after her, not to mention her great-aunt threatening to shoot his heinie. But getting Rachel to say "I do" is worth it. After all, he's never met a woman before who looks at him like he's a Whitmans Sampler box and she's a chocoholic.
This book is rip roarin hilarious from the get-go! You will laugh so hard that your chest will be in agony, you wont be able catch your breath for how much youre laughing and your eyes will be red and puffy from crying so much because its so unbelievable funny! From mullet-head hairstyles to witchy ol grannies this story can only put you in the very best of moods. But this is no light and whimsical romance! The characters are exceptionally written and the romance just makes your heart skip a
Good but too much filler. The story was good and entertaining. But, then, the author seemed to drag the story own with filler (boring storyline). So it gets a 3 Star.

Yet another delightful book by Sandra Hill. I initially discovered her via a chance read of a book from her Viking I series. I enjoyed it so much I looked for more of her books. Tante Lulu appears in the Deadly Angel series in a "cross-over" plot. I enjoyed the story set in Louisiana, and decided to add Sandra's Cajon books to my "to-read" list. Having read Remy's story I am about to start Cajun Cowboy. I still need to go back and read Luc's story. Sandra Hill's combination of the story itself
There was a time, somewhere around the middle of the book, when I thought I would be giving it a two star rating despite being initially offended by the potrayal of Louisianians and South Louisiana, however, toward the end of the book I was just so annoyed with BOTH of the main characters that I was simply glad to be finished with it. This was my first and most likely last time reading anything by Sandra Hill because I didn't care for most of her characters and I found that what plot there was
Hilarious! I was sad to put this book down. Wonderful characters, story and writing. Something sexy about tall, dark, and canjun! Tante Lulu (aunt) was a hoot! Many of the secondary characters were just as colorful and really added to the story. This book put a smile on my face. Another in the favorite category.
There were so many hurts on both sides. Most of this book is very good about showing you what happens when two fragile insecure people decide to get involved. The is of course the ending of a romance novel.

Interpretation To Books Tall, Dark, and Cajun (Cajun #2)
Rachel Fortier, a thirty-something home design consultant, has had it with her fiancé. It's bad enough that he gave her a Thighmaster for Valentine's Day and a Butt Buster for her birthday, and that their seven-year engagement has no end in sight. But she just learned that he's had a vasectomy! Rachel packs up and heads south to meet her great-aunt Gizelle for the first time and take a few days to regroup. She imagines a Grandma Walton living in a picturesque house surrounded by wondrous nature. What she finds is a cabin on stilts deep in the bayous, with alligators and snakes the size of telephone poles. As for Aunt Gizelle, she's a former taxidermist who can outcreep Hannibal Lechter any day of the week. And if that isn't enough to make a girl turn around and head right back to her ex, Gizelle is feuding with a Cajun bad boy -Remy LeDeux, a helicopter pilot and Air Force vet whose face is scarred from battle. Rene wants to buy a piece of property from Gizelle, but the feisty senior makes it clear she wants nothing to do with any LeDeux. I honestly don't understand how this book could have a 4 star rating. I'm a big fan of Sandra Hill and loved Frankly, My Dear because it was cute and FUNNY. This book that was supposedly "hilarious", didn't even make me chuckle or smile once. The setting and second characters were great ( the eccentric grandmas are usually a must in light chick lit), but the Cajun slang was laid on too thick for me and the characters fall in lust by page 1, and in love by chapter 3. There was no witty banterThis book is rip roarin hilarious from the get-go!
