Narrative Supposing Books Light My Fire (Aisling Grey #3)
Aisling Grey is juggling being a demon lord, a Guardian, and a wyvern's mate, even though she's keeping her distance from said wyvern, Drake, these days. But her presence is still required at a meeting of the green dragons. Since several attempts have been made on her life, Drake is sure to get protective of her. Which might not be a bad thing when war breaks out and all hell breaks loose--literally.Rating Based On Books Light My Fire (Aisling Grey #3)

Buddy read with the Wednesday UF Group of BB&BActual rating: 2.25The good news about this series that I see improvement. Unfortunately it's not on Aisling's part. She's still the reckless, brainless twit. A lot of people are brainless, reckless idiots but they usually don't have too much influence and actual power. Unfortunately when they do get power and influence things tend to go downhill fast. Aisling is one of those people with power and the vacuum of space in place of a brain. She'sSo here we join Aisling, a guardian, Wyverns mate, and a demon Lord, in London looking to get into training as a guardian. She is looking for a new start, away from her mate, Drake - a Dragon- and a simple easy life. Needless to say, the simple life is never for Aisling. Is it just me, or does everyone want Aisling dead?! Imps, Dragons, Fates, Guardians, Demons, Demon Lords.. oh my! I loved that there were some creature in this novel that I haven't seen in any other books. It gives it a sense of
3.5 - good but slow series

Book #3 in the Aisling Grey, Guardian novels. Now Aisling is in London about to start her training as a Guardian with her mentor Nora. But things are never easy and her recent past catches up with her - her mate Drake is in town, and war has started between the green and red septs. Also someone is trying to kill Aisling and people keep trying to get her to agree to support them as either Venediger or Prince of Abbaddon. This felt like a snack - not really a full meal, very easy and fast to
At times during this book I experienced the "oh this feels like a light-hearted fluffy read" and I kind of grokked what I was supposed to get out of it. But the continued incongruity of Aisling as a character made it impossible for me to empathize with her and time and again kicked me out of the suspended disbelief and into raging-at-book territory.Jim's recap of book 1 and 2 explains this pretty well: Ha! Relationship. Is that what youre calling it now? You two get together; you break it off.

Whew! This book is really a page-turner. A lot of things happened in this book but still, the author managed to maintain its light atmosphere. The plot was laid well (I was never confused when I read it, and A LOT happened), and will make you want to finish the entire series nonstop. Aisling's suspicion about Rene being other than plain human is true (his Daimon or Fate), which is just about time that we know, yes?. The bed scenes are more intense (the ice cubes!). I am so in love with
