A couple sections may be a bit too academic for the average reader (while White's language is written for the layperson, his unpacking of a number of different Greek words may be a stretch for some), but the majority of the work is pretty accessible. An excellent book that goes into the reasoning, a brief history and sufficiently explores the exegetical and interpretive framework for why Christians have held to the doctrine of the Trinity for 2000 yrs. I really enjoyed the work done by James on exegeting the text and how the authors of the NT understood Christ's deity and declared it as such!
