This book is mainly a collection of recollections/quotes from people who were family members, close friends, and people who worked with or for Walt Disney. It is somewhat the sister (or companion) book to The Man Behind the Magic. Several of the recollections touched me, especially the ones about the death of Walt Disney. It's comforting to see that Disney's vision is continuing, and not straying too far from the path he wanted in terms of his theme parks. It was interesting to note that DisneyWhile I can't call this book overly informative, it is a very nice memorial of sorts, to an incredible man. The entire book is just made up of quotes, most about a paragraph or two, by a whole lot different people who had met Walt Disney. It's a fun, enjoyable way to, as the title states, "remember" Walt.
I found this book heart warming...I loved reading about other peoples interactions with Walt Disney in their own words....very interesting.
I was born after Walt Disney died but his influence and the things he created and imagined have always been a part of my life. As my kids get introduced to Disney, I like to be able to tell them about the man behind it all. I enjoyed reading this book and almost cried at the end when he died.

This includes his closest, like his daughters and brother, to animators and business partners, to people twice removed who remember stories of Walt. Though it is a book created as homage to Disney, it does not sugarcoat temperaments, his lack of empathy towards negative people, his continuous smoking and other less-than-flattering attributes.
