Discuss About Books Frogs & French Kisses (Magic in Manhattan #2)
I didnt like this as much as the first book for the simple fact that Rachels story didnt really progress at all. Ill continue on to books 3 and 4 eventually but not anytime soon. On the plus side, I really enjoy this authors writing style.Side note - not sure where the titles come from. Book 1 didnt have anything to do with a Bra storyline and this one with Frogs was the same. Very strange titling.

After reading the first book in this series I was hooked and wanted to know more about what happens in Frogs and French Kisses. Rachel's problems go beyond those of her sister and her mother due to the fact she is the only normal human being in the family. Having recently broken up with her boyfriend (or kind of boyfriend), Raf, she asks Miri to plant a love spell on him. Miri at first strongly refuses, but after Rachel undergoes some horrible abuse at the hands of some bullying A-list girls at

Frogs& French Kisses Random House, Inc, 2006, 275pp., $ 8.99Sarah Mlynowski ISBN 978-0-385-73185-0 Would you rather read a book that is entertaining and funny, or a book that is sad and depressing? A book that is entertaining will make you happy and laugh all the time. It can also, make you not want to put the book down. That is what I felt like, when I read Frogs & French Kisses. I couldnt put the book down. It was like the book was glued to my fingers. Fourteen year old Rachel spends

Some friends of my family picked up Bras & Broomsticks for my birthday. Oh how smart they must've felt, when they got me Frogs & French kisses for christmas. I honestly expected them to get me spells and sleeping bags for my next birthday, but they never did and i had to pick it up myself. These family friends often picks books as presents. Which is nice, I like books, but they never match my taste. This time though, they found something pretty great for me.I came to love Bras &

Another 3.5 being rounded up.Listened to the audio version in my car. This is a cute little YA book about a family in New York where the mom and younger sister happen to be witches. It's basically a light YA romance, I guess, as the main character's focus is trying to get the boy she likes to like her (I know - shocking topic for YA!!!). She convinces her divorced mother to start dating again, which encourages her mother to start using magic again. Meanwhile the younger sister, who is just

I do this all the time! I rate the second book in a series higher than the first. Probably because I've already been introduced to the characters and it's easier to get into the story. Or maybe it's just better. Who knows?Rachel Weinstein is no longer surprised by the fact that she's living with two genuine witches. What does surprise her is the craziness both of those witches have gotten themselves into. In Rachel's own words, she says they are becoming "magicoholics." Her sister Miri is

My first re-read of this book, and it's even better than I remembered! This book was so funny. Rachel continues to be her usual teenage self; life is unfair and everything is lame, and she only cares about boys and shoes and getting on the high school's A-list. She's not obnoxious, though, just... funny. I love Rachel's sense of humor, as well as her inner monologue that made me laugh out loud too many times to count. She's definitely a(n) (unwilling) troublemaker, but she always manages to make
