This story is cleverly written, with wonderful descriptive pros. It sends the reader into a world, where you cannot make out for a while if it is a dream or reality; just like the confusion Archie feels; the main character we are following. The author, manages to then introduce mythological creatures that convince Archie that he must be dreaming for a moment and then finds himself conversing with them and even doing what the creatures suggest! In between all this he has flashbacks of his lifeI started to read the Authors Note to DEAD GAME by Claire Kinton and it had me intrigued. But what about the book, I thought. I flicked to the first chapter and I was hooked, immediately. Read it. Take a peek on Amazon look inside the book. Get a copy. READ IT. If you dont think fantasy is for you, think again. This is fairytale fantasy for adults, for younger adults, for men and women, girls and boys, alike. OK, so what do we have? We have young Lance Corporal Archie Fletchers stricken plane
I bought this book 8 years ago and had it signed by the author due to a connection with the content of the book. It has taken me 8 years to read it and I am glad I have now read it. The journey of a young soldier in his 20s experiencing life beyond planet earth is a cacophony of hope, sadness, fear and joy. It made me laugh and cry, but also gave me hope in my loss of a loved one. Never has a book been more familiar to me than this one. At times I felt there could have been more reflections of

Excellent storyline, kept me hooked until the very end. Well Done Claire looking forward to more reads from you
Wow. Wow wow wow.Fantasy isn't really my genre, but this book may just have converted me. Put it this way, I started it late evening, HAD to put it down to go to sleep, but ended up waking up at silly o'clock in the morning just to finish it! One word would describe it. Epic.I feel like I have wandered Transit with Archie, and found myself yelling at him several times to curb his rather active imagination. There are fairies, angels, mythical beasts, giants but this is no child's fairytale. Oh
Claire Kinton is an adventurous new author from Lincoln, England. Dead Game, her allegorical debut novel is the first book in The Game Trilogy and with a global, spiritual revolution stirring; her story could not be more apt for our time. It is an epic reflection of our wanting to connect with something bigger than ourselves; a beautiful story entwining patriotic family values and tradition with
Archie Fletcher has always been a bit of a Daredevil. Never giving up without a fight. So why should it be any different when he dies?
