Relation Toward Books Skin Deep (I-Team #5.5)

Broken on the inside

Megan Hunter has worked hard to get back on her feet, leaving the nightmare of her teenage years behind. The last thing she wants or needs in her life is a man. But when she is attacked by someone from her past, a scarred stranger intervenes, saving her life and that of her little girl. Looks can be deceiving, for despite the man’s rough appearance, she feels safe with him. And for the first time in her life, she knows the stirrings of desire.

Broken on the outside

Nathaniel West paid a high price serving with the Marines in Afghanistan. He returned to his family’s ranch in the Colorado mountains to heal—and be alone. Disfigured as he is, he has put all thoughts of sex and romance aside. But something about Megan brings him back to life, heats his blood, makes him feel like a man again. As danger pursues her, and the truth about her past is revealed, he vows to protect her—and to heal her wounded spirit.

But confronting the past is never easy—especially when it’s carrying a gun. Megan will have to learn to trust Nate to survive and to claim a passion that is much more than … Skin Deep.

Notice Based On Books Skin Deep (I-Team #5.5)
Grade: A or 4.5 StarsWhat I Liked- No To Stupid to Live moments. It's what hurt the I-Team books I read, especially book 3 (Marc and Sophie's story). Don't hate me GR friends, but Marc Hunter's story was my least favorite. It caused me to put the series on hold. (The remaining books are gathering dust on my TBR pile.)*ducks*- I loved when Nate's father, Jack, warned him that Megan came with a lot of baggage. Realistic.- Megan and Nate neck. They spent days at first base. Yes! - Megan's first

Perfect! I loved everything about this book! Review soon...:)

It was fine. Writing flows. Nothing to make me feel deeply but nothing annoyed me either. Realistic characters, even if the situation with h is kinda melodramatic.Nit pick: they have sex and she doesn't want to use a condom (view spoiler)[bc the opening of the wrapper reminds her of all the times she's been raped. But neither of them seem to think of STDs or pregnancy. And just go full on naked sex. Seems pretty strange on a second date sex (and not even an official date since she's staying over

This review discusses my impression of the audio version, as well as the story itself. Im going to start by saying; Im in love with Kaleo Griffiths voice. No, let me rephrase that; Im in lust with his voice. In fact, it took me much longer than it should have to finish listening to this story because there were certain sentences, certain uh things he said that had me scrolling (is that the right word for rewinding an audio book?) back to listen to them again and again. There were times Id

Fan-freaking-tastic!This book had me by the throat and wouldn't let me up, until I'd finished. It made me laugh, cry and had me on the edge of my seat. To say I liked it would be an understatement, because I absolutely, adored it! It left me with a huge smile on my face, hugging my Kindle and feeling all warm and tingly. So, so good!So great to have you back Pamela Clare!

this was short and good. A little bit rushed in dealing with some serious issues (hers, more than his). But it's a novella, so I give it a pass. Its hard to be bad when this book has many of my fave tropes - military-beauty-and-beast story.

Skin Deep is a story that all of us die-hard I-Team fans have been waiting for!Megan Hunter, Marc Hunter's baby sister, has been working hard to put her life back together after the horrific ordeal she went through years ago, and just as things are falling into place, when things are finally looking up, she gets a very unwelcome, very dangerous visitor from her past. Nate West, a local rancher, has just delivered several cases of beef to a community shelter and as he's leaving he spots Megan,
